Education about nature and cultural heritage is a major part of the mission of the Triglav National Park Public Institute.

We learn the most about nature through direct exploration of it. With the goal that every child should visit the area of Slovenia's only national park at least once, and with the belief that only genuine contact with nature can lead to responsible behavior towards nature and people in adulthood, the staff in the environmental education sector have prepared various activities for children, young people, and the young at heart.

Content treasury

Triglav treasury is an online learning platform with engaging and interactive educational content. It is designed to raise awareness among the public about the importance of nature conservation, biodiversity preservation, and the cultural heritage of the Triglav National Park.

It was created as part of the LIFE NATURAVIVA project – Biodiversity, the Art of Life. With the support of the project Collaboration between LAGs: Bringing UNESCO Biosphere Areas Closer to Residents,  the content of the Triglavska zakladnica is enriched by materials from the Biosphere Reserve of the Karst and the River Reka Basin, as well as the Biosphere Reserve of Kozjansko and Obsotelje.
