Wild Man of Pokljuka
Why should Gorjanci still be dying for spells ...
The loggers of Gorje once decided to catch a wild man who lived in Pokljuka and did many bad things to people. They lured him into an old woodcutter's hut, tied him up and dragged him into the valley.
When he was dragged through the Gorje, he asked them to release him. He promised to tell them why so many people were resting in the Gorje cemetery. They broke his bonds and promised to let him go. The wild man told them, "Because of the spells".
The woodcutters were very satisfied with his answer and released him immediately. When they realised what he had said, one of them wanted to ask him what they could do to counteract the spells. But in the meantime, the wild man had disappeared without them knowing where.
So Gorjanci continued to die for the spells.
