The pride of a beautiful stream
Once, God sent a clear and beautiful stream to the mountain meadow in Little Field. The beautiful stream was always the center of attention in the meadow, which made it proud. It became arrogant and boastful.
God decided that the stream must humble itself for its arrogance and that it needed to sink into the earth at the end of the meadow to cleanse itself.
The unfortunate stream couldn't bear to say goodbye to the fragrant meadow. Sixty times it stopped and looked back at the paradise beneath Triglav, but finally, it had to obey God's command and descend towards the hell. Only in the valley was it allowed to reappear, cleansed, in the Mostnica waterfall and in the wild beauty of the gorges.
