Geological trail in Kozjansko Regional Park

Park paths in Kozjansko Regional Park.

The route of the geological trail passes through a relatively small area of the Kozjansko Regional Park, but the diversity of the geological structure is quite suitable for presenting the entire geological development and geological structure of the Kozjansko region.
Vir: visit Podčetrtek

There are also other natural values (the valley of the Olim stream, the lime tree in Olimje) and cultural heritage (the Church of the Assumption in Olimje, the Olimje Monastery, the Church of St Andrew in Olimje, the Church of the Virgin Mary in Pesko, the Počivavškov haystack in Slaki, and the archaeological site at Rudnica).

The footpath, with its beautiful viewpoints from which you can see most of the Kozjanska Regional Park, is suitable for any visitor with average physical abilities. It follows forest paths, tracks and partly local roads with little traffic.
